Todd & Duncan Scottish Cashmere Yarn
4-ply Grade-A Todd & Duncan cashmere, 15.5 microns at 35mm staple, spun in Kinross with Loch Leven water.
Four-ply means four individual strands of yarn twisted together before knitting, giving the density needed to hold a cable pattern without it collapsing flat.
Staple length matters here too: the longer the strand, the stronger and more pill-resistant the finished yarn, which is what lets a cable knit keep its shape wash after wash.
