Effortless for Day. Elegant for Night.

The Diane’s minimalist design makes it one of the most versatile cashmere sweaters in your wardrobe. Wear it casually with jeans, or dress it up with a statement skirt and jewelry—the clean v-neckline is perfect for layering necklaces.

Why Hawick Matters

Hawick is world-renowned for its knitwear heritage. The unique combination of:
  • Expert artisans who specialize in traditional Scottish knitting
  • Exceptionally soft, naturally pure local water that enhances the hand-feel of cashmere during washing
  • Hundreds of years of textile mastery
…comes together to create cashmere that feels richer, drapes better, and lasts longer. When you buy Scottish cashmere made in Hawick, you are investing in the highest level of craftsmanship in the world.

A Silhouette That Flatters Everyone

The Diane features a semi-fitted shape that sits beautifully just below the waist, creating a naturally balanced, feminine line. A narrow, tailored sleeve gives it a refined finish, while the meticulously crafted fully fashioned neckline elevates the overall silhouette.

What “Fully Fashioned” Means

Fully fashioned is a hallmark of premium knitwear. Instead of cutting a sweater from large pieces of fabric, each panel is knitted into its exact shape and then linked together by hand. This technique:
  • Creates a more precise, flattering fit
  • Eliminates bulk at the seams
  • Improves durability and shape retention
  • Reflects true craftsmanship rarely seen in mass-produced knits
It’s the difference between a sweater that lasts a season and one that lasts a lifetime.

What Makes the Diane Special

  • 100% 2-ply Grade A Scottish cashmere from Todd & Duncan
  • Made in Hawick, Scotland by expert knitwear artisans
  • Semi-fitted silhouette that flatters without clinging
  • Sits just below the waist for a timeless, balanced proportion
  • Narrow, refined sleeves ideal for layering
  • Fully fashioned construction for a luxurious fit and longevity
  • Tightly knitted for exceptional softness and durability

Fabric & Craftsmanship

Every Diane sweater begins with Todd & Duncan’s world-class cashmere yarn—spun in Scotland, dyed in small batches, and known for its unmatched purity. From there, it is knitted and finished in Hawick, where each garment is washed in soft Scottish water and linked by hand to ensure a flawless finish.

A Timeless 2-Ply Cashmere V-Neck, Made in Hawick, Scotland

The Diane is our signature women’s 2-ply Scottish cashmere v-neck sweater, designed to be the piece you reach for year after year. Made in Hawick, the historic heart of Scottish knitwear, it’s knitted using 100% Todd & Duncan Grade A cashmere and finished by expert craftspeople who have perfected their techniques over generations. The result: a sweater with unmatched softness, durability, and elegance.

Care

Hand wash cold with gentle cashmere soap, reshape, and dry flat. Or dry clean sparingly. Always fold—never hang—to maintain the Diane’s beautiful shape.

Todd & Duncan Scottish Cashmere Yarn

Our grade-A cashmere has proved its worth in extreme temperatures by Mongolian goats, whose coats grow back after shearing. Its fibers offer insulating warmth that’s also comfortably breathable with a softness that’s almost a cliche.

From this raw cashmere, our partner Todd and Duncan build on their 150+ years of experience to produce yarn using only the longest (35 millimeter) and finest (15 micron) cashmere strands, resulting in garments that minimize pilling and maintain their softness and shape. They last a lifetime with proper care.

OVER 200 YEARS OF HISTORY

Built by experience for all life’s experiences

Our factory in Hawick, Scotland -- the self-proclaimed “Home of Cashmere” -- has been making fine cashmere garments for over 50 years. Knitters in this town have honed their craft for generations, stretching back to when the first textile factories were established here over 200 years ago.

Using time-tested machines and techniques -- no short-cuts! -- ensures a smooth, clean fit that can withstand the pulling and stretching of everyday life without losing shape.

The more you wear it,
the better it gets.
